Jesu, Dulcis Memoria, 1991
Jesu, dulcis memoria Motet composed for the choristers of St. Paul Cathedral by Leonard Smith (ca. 1980); Faux-bourdon (vs.3) by Richard Proulx.
Proulx used Leonard Smith's music for verses 1 and 2 and then wrote the third verse in faux-bourdon style himself. It is unclear if this motet has ever been published.
Kyrie
Kyrie / Ludovico Viadana ; Richard Proulx. In this work, Proulx adds bits and pieces of mass works and a mass setting for SATB by Ludovico Viadana together to create a patchwork musical conversation between a four-part choir, a cantor, and the congregation.
Kyrie from "missa via abbey
Kyrie from "missa via abbey / P.D.Q. Bach ; Richard Proulx. This work is a five-part vocal work for soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, and bass. The original composer is assumed to be P.D.Q. Bach as the composers are listed on the top as "P.D.Q. Proulx."
This is a humorous composition in which Proulx took the tune and harmonization of the Beatle's song, "Yesterday," and set the text of the "Kyrie" to it. Proulx humorously identified the composer as P.D. Q. Proulx.
